Save Money by Making Your Cannabis Last Longer

Save Money by Making Your Cannabis Last Longer

By Grow How

If you often hit the bottom of the jar and genuinely can’t believe you’re dry, you’re far from the only one. In fact, it’s more common than not among stoners to burn through even the biggest stashes of cannabis far quicker than expected. It’s the classic case where the more you have, the less care you take…and the quicker you end up with none left at all.

Of course, none of the above matters a great deal if you’re flush with cash and have a ready access-point to quality bud. By contrast, find yourself broke or struggling to find a refill and it can be hell on Earth.

So once again, we thought we’d take a quick look at the all-important subject of saving cash by making your weed last longer. Contrary to popular belief, getting frugal with your bud doesn’t have to mean one long process of craving and suffering. It just means being somewhat savvier than usual, to avoid the consequences of running dry at the worst possible time.

Here’s how to make it happen in the most painless way possible:

Buy in Bulk
First up, always remember that buying in bulk means gaining access to the lowest possible prices. What’s more, buying in bulk is also a good idea if you’re in a location or situation where droughts are common. You could save a fortune by stocking up a while in advance, rather than simply buying bits and pieces as and when you need them.

Distribute Your Stash
Contrary to popular belief, buying in bulk doesn’t mean you have to then dive into it all guns blazing and burn through it in record time. If you’re looking to make it last as long as possible and make your money go further, think about strategically distributing it over a specific time period. You know the daily pill boxes your grandma uses with S-M-T-W-T-F-S compartments? They can be pretty great for splitting your stash up and keeping tabs on how much you’ve got left for each day.

Skip the Wake ‘n Bake
This one all comes down to personal preferences and priorities. Ask yourself – is your daily wake ‘n bake more important to you than your end-of-day evening smoke when the time really comes to relax? A morning smoke can be great, but it’s more of a pick-me-up than an experience to savour. If you can afford both, lucky you – go for it! If not, there’s a good chance you’ll get far more out of your evening smoke than a morning hit. You’ll also appreciate the hell of it by the time it arrives, too.

Vape or Eat It
Smoking cannabis may be the ultimate pleasure, but the sad truth is that it really isn’t very efficient. The very nature of smoking means that at least some of the good stuff in each joint or bowl will go to waste by floating into the ether. By contrast, vaping or eating cannabis can be a great way of ensuring that every last bit of it gets right into your body where it needs to be. Hence the reason why the same small amount of bud will get you way higher for longer if you vape it or cook it up into some kind of edible.

Choose Your Friends Carefully
Last but not least, choosing your friends carefully for the sake of conserving weed means two things. Firstly, it means steering clear of those who seem to do nothing but mooch, without ever handing anything back in return. Secondly, it means sticking close to those who have a tendency to be more generous than others – without falling into the trap of becoming a moocher yourself!
